Apart from the online registration process explained in the previous post, you may also register for Jaamun service via SMS.

Registering for Jaamun Email service via SMS

To sign-up, simply send an SMS in the following format to 09773467755

Email ID SPACE Email Password

Next, you shall receive a confirmation of your registration via SMS.

An account will be automatically created for you on Jaamun. The user name for this account will be your mobile number and the password will be the same as your email password.

As and when you get time, you can login into your Jaamun account and configure filters, change email ID mapped to the mobile, configure time filters or pay for the subscription.

Jaamun service number 09773467755 is not an ordinary mobile number. It is actually a Virtual Mobile Number (VMN) just like the premium numbers that you might have come across such as 56070 & 56677, the only difference being that the users do not need to pay premium charges for sending an SMS to this number.

It is for this particular reason that we chose 09773467755 to operate our service, although we had the option of using a 5 digit premium number as well. All mails that you receive on mobile will come from 09773467755 and when you use our reply, forward and compose service you would have to send an SMS to the same number.

Also note that the cost of sending an SMS to 09773467755 is over and above the subscription charges. The actual cost of sending an SMS may vary between Rs. 0 & Rs. 1.50, depending on your tariff plan.

For the benefit of Jaamun users, today we start with a series of blogs explaining how to make best use of Jaamun service.

Registering for Jaamun Email service online
The registration process is fairly typical, the kind you must have gone through a million times on various websites.

To begin, visit our registration page to create a new account. Do note that your mobile number becomes your user ID for www.jaamun.in and gives you access to various customization tools.


Once you press submit, you will receive a unique code via SMS on your mobile. Please enter this code and also provide the email account info.


Next, you can configure filters on Jaamun mobile email account. Using filters, you can block emails from particular email IDs or allow mails from specific IDs on your mobile. You may also configure filters based on the subject line keyword. In case you don’t want to set the filters now, you can come back later and configure it from your Jaamun account page.


Finally, you will receive a confirmation of your registration via SMS.
